I was wondering, is it possible to repackage the stable TeXWorks that comes with TL for windows?

I find it a bit embarassing that whenever we help students to install TL, and tell them about the nice jumping feature in TeXWorks, then the first thing we have to do with texworks is to reconfigure it to use pdflatex as the default engine.

We had the samme problem in TL09 so it is a bit sad that this small issue has not been fixed yet.

Fixed?!!! I think people who prefer to use plain pdfTeX don't think there is anything to fix!

And repackaging instead of going to Preferences -> Typesetting -> Default and selecting your preferred engine-format?

And if I think that everybody should be using XeLaTeX, can I ask for a repackaging with XeLaTeX as the default engine-format?
No, no! ConTeXt, please, ftlog!
