Two apparent problems:<br>1) On the Feb 1 image, with the setuptl directory replaced with the svn revision<br>3863, tlmpgui produces an error when I say yes to installing ghostscript and <br>dviout. Environment variables were set for gs, but the corresponding directories were not created. Dviout was installed in the TeX Live directory, but no other items were added to that directory. <br><br>On my system, the variables TMP and TEMP are set as system variables. However, our default profiles override those variables in User variables. The system setting for TEPM is C:\WINDOWS\TEMP. A hidden folder C:\WINDOWS\Temp exists, but not one called TEMP. The user override is <br>%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp . %USERPROFILE% points to a directory with the user's login name in C:\Documents and Settings.<br> <br>2) I still get an error when I try to install with the TEMP environment variable set to the same as TMP is User variables. When I set TEMP to C:\, I get an error that
various files cannot be opened in that directory. After a successful install after clearing the User variables set by the installer and deleting the texmf-local directory and the TexLive2007 directory, I was no longer able to re-install. This time I got errors that various files in C:/WINDOWS/Temp/ could not be opened.<br><br><br>Here is the message I get when gs install fails: <br>unable to open key: Access is denied.<br>unable to open key: Access is denied.<br> while executing<br>"source $filewinpostinstall"<br> invoked from within<br>".f.nb.frm0.f.f2.b invoke "<br> invoked from within<br>".f.nb.frm0.f.f2.b instate {pressed !disabled} { .f.nb.frm0.f.f2.b state !pressed; .f.nb.frm0.f.f2.b invoke } "<br> (command bound to event)<br><br><br><BR><BR>This is a temporary account.
