When I update texlive use:
tlmgr update --self --all --reinstall-forcibly-removed
and I've noticed that always creates files of the form:
texlive.tlpdb.be17af42b38bde18ed074dc333c8326e
(cached copy of the package database from the remote repository)
read the directory /usr/local/texlive/2014/tlpkg/
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 8,5M sep 8 21:02 texlive.tlpdb
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 9,1M sep 8 20:59 texlive.tlpdb.0872092f6696e877f0db8b140f6b82ef
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 9,1M sep 8 21:00 texlive.tlpdb.10bfabb073fb4dc387aa4b563fc7e922
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 9,1M sep 8 20:54 texlive.tlpdb.263e706cf88b699ee0b429510c653597
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 9,1M sep 8 20:54 texlive.tlpdb.56bd326fc068dc3ca63361d5aa4c1e69
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 9,1M sep 8 20:41 texlive.tlpdb.b43c1a834bd53df8dbee9dab6afe9b17
and now comes the question: What should happen to tlmgr option to only keep a cached copy?
If I upgrade 20 times I have 20 copies and is not ideal.
Greetings
Pablo
