[tex-live] Bug in TexLive-2014?

might be useful if you had provided a minimal example that causes that error.

Have you fully updated texlive 2014?

On Mac this can be done via a terminal and

sudo tlmgr update --all --self

provided tlmgr is in the path used by sudo (I think it usually works)

I get the following error message on MacOS X Mavericks

/usr/local/texlive/2014/texmf-dist/tex/latex/newtx/omlnxlmi.fd:16
Undefined control sequence.
l. 16 \iftx at liby

If I back out from TexLive-2014 to TexLive-2013, the error goes away. Fortunately that is easy on MacOSX.
