[tex-live] TeXlive is too big: how too switch from the full scheme to a smaller scheme

No risk, no fun.
Seriously, the tools like gparted are quite reliable, I never had 
trouble in that regard.

Seems so. You could have answered that question for yourself by having a 
look at these files.

Norbert already gave you the recipe.
I don't think there is sufficient demand for that feature, because there 
are several easy remedies to your problem. But of course: You are 
certainly welcomed to provide it. Most useful programs in the community 
come into being, because someone has a need for their functionality and 
spends the effort to program it.
