This has been noted and should be fixed soon.

If you get a dialog `Perl has stopped working' then there is a button
for viewing particulars. You can even copy and paste the displayed
text to an editor, at least on w7.

I got the perl has stopped working problem on a w7 virtual machine.
In this particular case the problem was with Tk, the GUI module but
that was all I could figure out.
