No, but I grabbed the portable version.  My tests with kpse in texlua
were successful (set_program_name, find_file, var_value).  It seems
compatible with TL.  Interestingly kpse.version() gives: 'MiKTeX 2.9'.
 This could be used to find out if script runs under MiKTeX or not.
