OK, herewith explicit suggestions, and a proposed revised
version is at :

http://web-consultants.org.uk/sites/TUG/pretest.html

1) The prose reads "To do a network installation" in one place
and "In the case of the installer package" in another. These
refer to the same operation, and should therefore use the
same terminology : the latter therefore amended to read
"If performing a network installation". Unfortunately
the document needs to fork earlier, so see online version
for full changes.

2) "The exact http://somehost/some/path urls to use are link
targets on the texlive-pretest mirmon page."

Yes, they are, but that is hardly user-friendly documentation.
Proposed : "To find a real value for location, identify
a suitable (topologically near) host from the texlive-pretest
mirmon page, then right-click on your chosen host and choose
"copy link location" or your browser's equivalent. You can then
paste this value in following the "-repository " parameter. Ignore
the "@" signs in the texlive-pretest mirmon page : they are simply
there to confuse.

3) Is there an "Install-TL-advanced" for Unix/Linux ? If so, option (3)
of "Installing" should use this. If not, then the document needs to
fork even earlier.

Various other changes made, and the final document contains both
QUERIES (in red) and COMMENTS (in blue). Getting the final part
to validate (the form and surrounding stuff) was a real b1tch.
