no more than finger trouble, i expect.

my procedure in making these separate bundles on ctan has been

1. acquire docs (mostly written by philipp stephani, but some by me)
2. install docs together with original package as a new bundle
3. update the catalogue repository
4. delete original package.

i have always left at least 24 hours between (3) and (4), so that non-tl
users of ctan don't suddenly find that a package they've been
recommended has summarily disappeared. after 24 hours, the indexes and
the web copies of the catalogue files will have been rewritten.

this procedure is of course prone to the problem you've observed.

it will no doubt be sorted out rsn. the two files are identical, so it
doesn't matter which your document uses.
