[tex-live] Missing "ppc" symbolic link in .FactoryDefaults/gwTeX-2003-2005 ?

Jean-Francois,

There is one small mistake in my previous message.  The gwTeX-2003-2005 distribution
is Gerben's original xeTeX distribution rather than his TeX Live based distribution, so your
TeX Distribution structure for it was indeed written by MacTeX. It only contains the powerpc link
because we only had that link in the early days. That would have caused no trouble if your
/usr/texbin link had been correct.

The main puzzle remains. Why do you have an incorrect /usr/texbin link?
