sorry to hear that. I usually only work on Linux, where latexmk always 
work, so I was a bit surprised to see that it didn't work by default on 
windows.

I'll just go along with what I have now (which is working) and tell the 
students that it will be fixed.

One of the first things I'm going to show in my demo is how to update 
TeXLive using the manager.
