Yes, myself! I know that / and \ are equivalent, but I cannot
give for sure a way to see the path.

And for the other point: we try to fix that, but if a program
simply behaves wrongly and breaks after installation of 
texlive than so it be. Wouldnt be the only case on Windows.
We cannot work around each and every bug of other programs
in the world, and that one can be easily fixed by the admin.
