[tex-live] babel can't find hyphenation pattern with xetex

Generally not. But your log-files looks as if this is the case on
your system. 

Check if you have more than one language.dat or another hyphen.cfg. 

You could also try to regenerate the xelatex format. Perhaps this is
not done automatically on your system.
