Will there be an experimental section in TL2009?  If so, and if the
packages in it are not installed by default, one should ask Philipp
Lehmann again.  I think he was against the integration in TL2008 because
of the beta status and propable future change in the user interface.
Every user should be aware of this, and so biblatex should not be
installed by default.  But Philipp put it on CTAN, so obviously he is
interested in a user base.

Appearantly lots of people are using biblatex already, especially in the
humanities, in spite of its beta status.
