Dear all,

Today I wrote a patch of animate.sty to work with the recent DVIPDFMx.
If anyone is interested in this topic, one can download it from

The usage is just to give an option as \usepackage[dvipdfmx]{animate}.
Of course, it requires the current CVS version of DVIPDFMx which  
supports
some extra DVI specials for supporting PGF graphics.

I'd like to discuss this topic with the author of animate.sty,  
Alexander Grahn.
