Sure. If we want to issue a warning only when really relevant, this will sort
of bloat the code quite a lot for few benefice. I'll probably just drop this
warning as you suggest. The original idea was that at some point in the future
there should be only two environement variables per setting (and not 4 like
now), but well, many environment variables don't hurt that much anyway.
