    The tex4ht stuff seems to be quite out-of-date.  

Specifics, please?

Before I made the image, I updated TL from Eitan's "fix" distribution
dated less than a week ago.  It doesn't get any newer ...

Maybe something went wrong with p4 or in building the image, which
Staszek also mentioned something weird with one of tex4ht's fonts,
which I saw no sign of.  Sigh.

    I don't know where it comes from 

It comes from http://www.cse.ohio-state.edu/~gurari/TeX4ht/mn.htm, which
is mirrored at http://tug.org/applications/tex4ht.  (Eitan and I set up
the mirror a few months ago.)
