Hi,

since we have

   -shell-escape
   -src-specials

(we miss the negations, so maybe they should have been -shell-escape=t|f)

i think we should also have

   -openout_any=a|p|n
   -openin_any=a|p|n

so that one can have control over this feature without the need to adapt 
the config file

This is something that one needs when using tex in web apps (remote 
publishing and so) in a mixed context (local users versus remote users) so 
that one can then run tex in a more restricted mode

Although still open for problems i can also imagine a more specific setup, 
where a series of input/output specs restict file access to certain paths.
