[tex-k] logfiles

Hi,
TeX always inserts a linebreak after a certain amount of characters in
the log-file (and STDOUT).

Example:
! pdfTeX warning (dest): name{abbr.WLAN!!} has been referenced but does not exi
st, replaced by a fixed one

Obviously, "grep exist" will fail.

Is it possible to avoid those linebreaks or are they necessary to
survive the trip test?
