[tex-hyphen] shortdesd, longdesc of hyphen-<language> & CTAN

Apart from what I wrote earlier, I plan to write "shortdesc" and
    "longdesc" into tlpsrc.

Ok.

Do you have any particular requests of what I should put there?

Your plans sound ok in general. After I see the results I might have
specific comments.

    auto-generate a CTAN-friendly version of hyph-utf8.

To what end? Not sure it's worth your time. I find it hard to imagine
anyone downloading hyph-utf8 and installing it "from scratch", since
hyphenation is such a fundamental part of the system.

In case that we go though all the files & languages and would want
to contribute to entries in CTAN catalogue - what else is needed for
    that?

Well, the CTAN folks are the ones who handle the Catalogue, and since
you cc'd them, perhaps they will answer.

Thanks,
Karl
