Is not the problem simply that you have two too many spaces after
"10" and "15" ?<br>

(and one too many after "1" and "5"). But in reality, are you not
expecting too much from a non-monospaced font ? Adding \tt \after
"\input eplain" seems to make everything work as intended with your
original source.<br>
