    I did some work with rendering indian languages. 

In addition to Arthur's response:

1) if you want to go forward, I think this should be a separate proposal
   specifically about Indic languages.

2) For the current status of Indic language support, I suggest
   contacting zdenek.wagner at gmail.com.
