Dear PSTricks users:

This is to bring to your attention the official release of the VTeX/Linux
distribution.

The distribution contains a TeX->PDF compiler that is capable of direct
handling of
inline (PStricks/PSfrag) and encapsulated (EPS) PostScript. The distribution
is a subset
of the VTeX/Win 6.3 product and includes the support for the latest
extentions of the Windows
version (including real-time feedback from GeX/PostScript to TeX, and TeX
plugins). Several
filters for bitmapped graphics are supplied as well.

Availability:
=========

The distribution is available at no charge for __personal use__.

For download instructions, go to

                www.micropress-inc.com/linux

In Europe, the distibution is hosted by NTG:

Support:
=======

The NTG hosts a mailing list that can be used both to ask questions and to
report bugs in the software and/or installation.
The mailinglist is run by Majordomo, so to subscribe send a message to
majordomo at ntg.nl with in the body

subscribe ntg-vtex

The mailing list itself can be reached as ntg-vtex at ntg.nl.

PStricks/Seminar problems that relate to our implementation should be posted
to the NTG mailling list.

While MicroPress will not support the distribution directly, your comments
and suggestions are very welcome.
