<div class="">I’ve encountered an issue with the Utopia font, as loaded with the Fourier package.</div>
<div class="">It affects the PDF content stream when \pdfinterwordspaceon is in effect.</div>
<div class="">A minimal example is attached, with the PDF content stream shown</div>
<div class="">afterwards, both with and w/out the Fourier package loaded.</div>

<div class="">Is there any way to check the values of the font parameters directly, in a running job?</div>
<div class="">Better still, can they be altered by pdftex within the document preamble, say?</div>

<div class="">Or can the coding above be modified to first check that space(f) has a reasonable value?</div>
<div class="">If 0 or otherwise too small, replace it with a more realistic value when doing the</div>
<div class="">kind of testing done here.</div>
