You are using MS Word's equation editor, which (since Word 2007)
produces some very nice results -- but is not compatible with LaTeX.

Hmm....  Would you create a small equation including an integral with
limits, save it as Unicode text, and send it to me?  Depending on the
form the text file takes, there may be a way to use it with XeTeX.
