[pdftex] Text with pdftricks

I have some experience with latex, but I am a pdftex newbie ... and I
have a problem...

If I use text inside a pspicture environment, the Acrobar Reader shows
distorted fonts (fuzzy fonts); moreover, If I print the file, the text
is not printed.

Example:
\begin{pdfpic}
\begin{pspicture}(0,0)(3,3)
\rput[lb](1,1)\text{abc}
\end{pspicture}
\end{pdfpic}

Is it a configuration trouble? an installation one?
