I have an \input{options} in my main file, and a script which iterates
through options-type.tex files, symlinking options.tex to each in
turn and moving the pdf to basename-type.pdf.

So, for example, I might have options-skim.tex,
options-twopercent.tex, options-cream.tex resulting in
basename-skim.pdf....
