[pdftex] Please help with *.tif pictures...

Unfortunately , but 
and so, and so :

\usepackage{graphicx}  -->!   Package graphics Error: No driver specified.
\usepackage[pdftex]{graphicx}
1)
\DeclareGraphicsExtensions{.jpg,.pdf,.tif,.png,.tiff}
\includegraphics{fig5.tiff (tif)}

! LaTeX Error: Unknown graphics extension: .tif. 
! LaTeX Error: Unknown graphics extension: .tiff. 

2)

When i use \pdfimage {fig5.tiff (tif)} hi says

Error: pdftex.exe (file fig.tiff (tif))
unknown type of image

(And i have TeX Live 4. That old? )
