<div>That’s disappointing to hear. I had just convinced myself that, for whatever reason, when I updated to MacTeX 2017 I had simply failed to download the documentation. For what it is worth, my machine at home is working fine so I was hoping that it was
something specific to my office machine. I will chase up the presence of the documentation tomorrow but, for the record, I am running MacTeX 2017 on OS X 10.12.3 (I believe, the machine in question being at work).</div>

<div dir="ltr">Yesterday I had no problem using texdoc with MacTeX 2016. I just updated the TeX Live Utility, and suddenly I have having the reported problem with texdoc.
