<div>I have avoided upgrading to Yosemite for two reasons: first, the extensive discussion before about all the difficulties using TS with the new system made me hesitate, and second, where I am (in Boston's North End) the available bandwidth is insufficient
for the demand, with the result that trying to download the new system always ends up being timed out. I wish it were still possible to upgrade using a disc!</div>

The operation of the ``green button'' changed in Yosemite and the ``arrows'' are gone.<br>

By the way when you say TEXROOT I assume you mean the line<br>
<br>
% !TEX root = path/to/root.tex<br>
<br>
where path/to/root.tex is the relative or absolute path to the root.tex file.<br>
