Perhaps it is not essential to explain how to build the database, how entries and fields are specified and formatted, etc. But it should not be very complicated to explain just how to use it, assuming the .bib database is around (in my dept., for instance, there is a very large shared data base stored in a server). Following LaTeX main principle of concentrating on the contents and letting the formatting work to the designers.<br>
