<br>
/usr/local/texlive/2012/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf<br>
<br>
If you make changes, you should add only the changes to:<br>
<br>
/usr/local/texlive/2012/texmf.cnf<br>
<br>
On your system, of course, the texlive hierarchy is in your home directory.<br>
