Indeed. Thus my quotes around the word "problem" in my self-answer on
the StackExchange site where I posted offensively.

I'm not sure why that preference was checked, though. I'd never heard
of pTeX, and I assume it isn't selected by default on install, but I
don't remember selecting  it.
