Howdy,

That's strange... What OS did you have before you installed Yosemite? Mavericks didn't include X11; you needed to install XQuartz. That was bad since XQuartz is updated while the old X11 didn't get updated until the next version of the OS.

I play with Gimp and FontForge (both available wrapped in .app form) and they really need XQuartz to actually run.
