Unfortunately it appears that Migration Assistant didn't move the TeX distribution over correctly. I think your only recourse is to re-install MacTeX. I always wonder if Migration Assistant does a great job moving lower level (i.e., Unix level) items over.

You have two options for doing this:

Download (if you don't already have the installer) and re-install MacTeX-2011. Then run TeX Live Utility to update the distribution to its state when TeX Live 2011 was frozen. that should fix everything up and get you up and running.

Wait until MacTeX-2012 comes out and install that. I'd guess that will happen within the next three weeks unless there is a major problem with the DVD.

Of course you can do both!
