Fink gs had these problems until a minute ago. LaTeXiT works fine
after installing the MacTex gs in /usr/local/bin. I figured
everything out after tracking down the fink gs problem on the fink
mailing list, so now all my 'gs''s work.

Mea culpa.

I'd screwed up my DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH, which caused the fink gs to
crash, which I noticed working with LaTeXiT as it misbehaved.

So... Nothing to do with LaTeX, or LaTeXiT.

Apologies for sending y'all on a goose chase, but thank you for
helping me eventually figure it out.

   -k.
