Howdy,

The short answer is YES. There have been updates since the release of MacTeX-2010 so you should get those using TeX Live Utility.

MacTeX installs the full TeX Live distribution which is incredibly complete. I always assume whatever I need is there and only act if I find out that it isn't: and that doesn't happen very often.
