[OS X TeX] Installing Asymptote

The weird thing is, it does make most of the .pdf files:

It's only Sample-1.pdf which isn't being created.

Is there any way to get these files to generate w/ a sensible, invariant name? It seems to me that hiding them away in a sub-directory (asy) and naming them <basefilename>-<label>.asy/pdf &c. would be much more manageable.
