[OS X TeX] Problem with \textsc{}

I`m not sure... How can be sure??

I just have put it in the preamble of the test I sent you:
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage{lmodern}
\newcommand{\versalitas}[1]{{\usefont{T1}{cmr}{bx}{sc}#1}}%
