[OS X TeX] Re: removal of unneeded languages

The most difficult task is to decompress the TL iso image. Download

http://r.research.att.com/libs/xz-4.999.9beta-darwin9-bin4.tar.gz

and move the binaries to /usr/local/bin such that you can use the binary xz in the Terminal to decompress the iso image.
