This code works fine (utf8 in the prefs (document) of texshop)

\usepackage[utf8]{inputenc} % and not inputence
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc} % [T1]
\usepackage{lmodern}
\usepackage[swedish]{babel}

\begin{document}
