When this environment is OK (and in Mac OS X ~/.MacOSX/environment.plist can provide this agreeable state) then no ~/.(t)chsrc is needed.

Howdy,

I just wanted to point out that the tcsh man page implies that when you use the -f option NO files are loaded.

Can't tell you how many times we've seen mysterious, scratch your head type, problems because of things folks have put (especially PATH stuff and setting other TeX related environment variables) in the ~/.MacOSX/environment.plist file and then forgotten about it.

I know you take responsibility for your actions and they are based on your level of knowledge but most users just do things because they are told it solves problems. I'm not trying to denigrate anyone since most of us just need help and follow directions --- we're not *nix gurus or even want to be such.

Good Luck,
