No. Dvipdf is *not* a variant and member of the family dvipdfm  
dvipdfmx dvipdft (and dvipdft is neither a family member because it  
just creates thumbnail pictures for dvipdfm). Dvipdf is part of  
Ghostscript and probably installed into /usr/local/bin.
