[OS X TeX] amsmath and txfonts in Mactex 2009

If you load in the other order:

  \usepackage{amsmath}
  \usepackage{txfonts}

there is no break in the processing; that is, apparently no clash.

However, that is actually not true; each of these packages has
definitions for  \iint \iiint  \iiiint  \idotsint .

Whichever package is loaded last will determine which you get.

If you want the AMSmath versions, then load the packages using:

\usepackage{txfonts}
  \let\iint\relax
  \let\iiint\relax
  \let\iiiint\relax
  \let\idotsint\relax
\usepackage{amsmath}

to get a smooth compilation.
