Hallo -

you may try http://www.wiwi.uni-rostock.de/~wsf8545/tif2png.zip

It contains a small test.tex, a tif-file and a tiftopng.sty that is a  
very quick-and-dirty package that converts tif to png with convert  
from imagemagick in the same manner like epstopdf.sty does with the  
perl-script epstopdf.

Use it at your own risk!
