[OS X TeX] Typesetting factor of 2 slower in Leopard

When the spotlight programs stopped running, I am back to a 28 second  
typeset. Apparently something is different with Leopard, maybe a  
priority? (Even my crippled PS3 under Ubuntu typesets the book in 12  
seconds).
