The Lucida fonts come with Java, or, to be exact: the Java SDKs:

/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.3.1/Home/lib/
fonts
/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.4.2/Home/lib/
fonts
/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.5.0/Home/lib/
fonts

The Java 1.4.2 and 1.5.0 SDKs have a reduced set of Lucida Sans and
Lucida Sans Typewriter fonts: no oblique variants. And the LucidaSans-
Oblique and LucidaSans-DemiOblique fonts are defective in the area U
+FFB0…FFB4. Instead of the ligatures ff, fi, fl, ffi, and ffl
they have a reduced set in LucidaSans-DemiOblique (only fi and fl)
and errors in LucidaSans-Oblique:

fi is in the place of ff,
fl is in the place of fi,
ffi is in the place of fl,
ffl is in the place of ffi,
nothing s in the place of ffl.

The four ligatures come each one too early and the first one, ff,
fell off the stack! In Font Book the fonts can be put into
"libraries" and can be activated or deactivated.

Klingon function calls do not have "parameters" - they have
"arguments"- and they ALWAYS WIN THEM.
