Did the same.

I did just that and the result is:  /bin/rm

See what you get from echo $PATH
(I get  /usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/texbin:/usr/X11/bin:/Users/berendhasselman/bin)

/bin should be in your PATH.
