[OS X TeX] Beamer and MacTeX 2008

The message seems to indicate that the file /usr/local/texlive/2008/ 
texmf-var/fonts/map/pdftex/updmap/pdftex.map is not OK (I've never  
had this before). The leading part "[1" indicates that it happens on  
the first page.

Disk full? What happens when you clean your directory and remove all  
<beamer file>.* files except the .TEX file and process it again? Did  
you run tlmgr or TLU, or, in other words, did you upgrade MacTeX at  
some time? (This could have introduced something faulty.)

You could try to recreate the MAP file by running in Terminal (might  
take ten minutes, maybe more):

	sudo -H updmap-sys --disable euler.map
	sudo -H updmap-sys --enable Map=euler.map

and then process your beamer TEX file again. If this does not help,  
then trying to update again and finally re-installing MacTeX might  
cure your problem...
