[OS X TeX] SyncTeX and Beamer

Thanks Dick for this simple and unexpected explanation.
My question now is this: is there something I could put on the top of
my Beamer file which _would_ make SyncTeX fail? If so I could keep
the SyncTeX option in the TS Preference pane and still reap the
benefit of the old search method.
